My cousin helped me out this weekend by cleaning my tank and helping me with my aquascape. The tank is back up and running but now the overflow is making a weird type of noise, occasionally. What is this noise, how do i stop it, and why is it making this noise?

It might be siphoning, try giving it some more air or throttling back the return pump to reduce flow.

Most likely air being sucked in to the stand tube. Try a google search for Durso standpipes.

sound like a toliet? :D http://www.dursostandpipes.com/ build one of these and it should do away the the noise.
