Beautiful gobies. Where did you get them?. My understanding is they are a fairly new species. Nice tanks everyone.

Thanks for the kind words.;)
jman~The coral is a green torch. It quickly outgrew this tank and I moved it to my 65{I could have theoretically fragged back a single head and left it in there}
Nanoman~ yes I do feed my corals..I go pretty easy on the nano though..as not to compromise the water quality. I can give you the whole run-down in a pm if you like.
JMlee, I got the Trimmas over a year ago at a local LFS..they got them from the suppliers in south fla., which inturn get them shipped in from all over I'm sure.{I just noticed LA had them in stock the other day for the first time}. I kept going back and looking at them before I decided which fish to put in the nano. They are a perfect choice as they hover and perch...instead of swimming around like some fish. They also stay under 2".
Cheers..and keep the great pics coming!

so let me ask you guys. Im planning a 29gal and was wondering, How difficult is a nano to maintain?. Do you guys find your selves doing alot more maintenance VS a bigger 50+ gal tank?.

schiavonir
04/04/2006, 09:30 PM
I find them to be less maintenance than a larger tank. The main reason is because there's so much less water to deal with. Well, I see you are thinking about a 29g. My nano is only 6g, so I can do a 50% water change in 5 minutes. (I only do about 10-15%, but if I had to do a massive WC, it would be easy.) 29g might end up being almost the same amount of maintenance as a larger tank.

i figure if i change like 5 galllons a week outa of a 29 gallon tank that it would do pretty good. But i do see your point about the 6g, i bet water changes are a breeze for you =)

schiavonir

I do water changes with a cup.
