I just got my new 5 stage RODI from Melev yesterday. The hookup went very smooth and easy with no leaks. The problem I have is that it is not producing water. It is supposed to be 100gpd with a waste rate of 4 gallons to 1. My current rate is about 1 gallon of good water per hour with about 13 gallons wasted.

Suggestions?

Thanks
Craig

It could be a water pressure problem. Sure you got it all hooked up right?

100% sure. If the pressure is low, how can I raise it. Also shouldnt the ratio still be 4-1?

do you have a valve that can close the waste water line?

If the pressure is too low the water wont penetrate the membrane and will produce more waste water. Im not sure on your model but mine has a backflush valve. If thats open it will produce alot of waste water. Also, if its brand new therecould be air in the system and could days to work itself out.

Im no expert, so if im wrong, forget i mentioned it.
;-)

Craig, you got PM.

Make sure the valve (if there is one) on the waste line is turned down. If you need to get more pressure the only way you can do it is to get a booster pump. Does your unit have a pressure gauge on it? What's it at.

I would shoot melev a message and ask him I'm sure he would be more than willing to help.

There is no valve on the discharge. I put my finger over it and more good water came out. I am going to buy a valve tonight & see if i can adjust it so that i get the 4gph.

Thanks for the input
Craig
