Curt

I have the calibration solution, placed the probe in the solution and the numbers are always changing.

It will 5.0 for about a minute, than it changes to 4.8 for another 1-2 minutes, than it might will go to 5.3.

How long should I wait before hitting the Select button?
Is this swing normal?

The probe is only 4 months old.

I'm sorry, the above info is when the probe is dry, when I place in solution it jumps around like I stated above. It does settle for a minute or so, is that acceptable?

It sounds like the probe is still slightly wet, and that is causing the small cond. changes. The changes are small and on the zero side of the calibration, so they won't have much influence on the accuracy of the calibration.

hi Curt,
my cond probe has been reading 0.0 for 10 days or so, should i send it back or is there something else i can do?

Try cleaning the probe in vinegar for 24 hours. If that doesn't work then, I suspect that the glass lining in the probe is broken.
