Well this is my first real starfish.Ive always wanted one but was to scared to get one.Ive herd all the horror stories about them.I picked him up at oddballs the other night. It was hard to decide between the starfish and the joker clams. One day ill be brave and get one.

Looks like "Green Death" (re: Shimek - Marine Invertebrates page 388).
"...one of the most vicious invertebrates found in captivity, not suitable for reef tanks"

Hope your fish don't sleep...

Dang Jarrod did you fall for the starfish line like I did? At least you didnt fall for a chocolate chip. It is cool no matter how destructive.

I had a couple percs and got one of those green brittles and the first night one was gone, and the star was in the fuge. If you have big fish who cares though, they are cool anyhow...

It's pretty much just a matter of time before it snags a fish. I was just surprised Scott would sell Jarrod that knowing what he has in his tank.
Good luck Jarrod.

I was there when Jarrod bought it... as I remember, it came with a "needs to be kept fed" warning....
