ive just bought a product called cyclop-eeze to feed my corals with, its frozen zooplankton, the thing is im not sure how much to feed to start with. my tank is only 40 gallons and i dont want to ruin my water quality as its nitrate and phosphate readings are zero, alkalinity is about 105ppm, ph.8.1 . ive started with a wafer thin piece about the size of your thumb nail....... has anyone out there had any bad experiences using this product or any plus benefits etc...... thanks..................

A small piece goes a long way.

Great product. Don't feed too much or you may have algae issues.

A tiny shaving the size of your pinky nail should be sufficient. This is an unbelievable product IMO as it is protein rich, full of HUFA's etc. Most fish love it, most corals respond to it. Dont overdo it as you will see hair algae growing. There are no real drawbacks, but as it is frozen with the package open over a period of time it loses nutritional value to some degree. Keep it replaced every couple of months even if you have some left.

---I push this stuff whenever someone asks what they should feed their fish.
