In a bit of a quandary here. My Flame Angel looks like it my die soon. It's been hiding for the last three days, not eating, etc. When I do see him, he is "panting" and trying to wedge himself into the rocks. I have been able to get a good look at him a few times and I don't see any signs of ick. Should I try to get him out of the tank, or let him just die and have my clean up crews do their job?

You run the risk of having other fish infected, depending on what is wrong with the angel. It doesn't sound like the fish has long to live. If it were me, I'd move the fish to the QT to minimize stress. Keep lights off. Give it a place to hide (lr or pvc pipe). If you can detect any symptoms, it may be worth trying to treat the fish.

I'd darn near have to move all my LR to get to him, as he's tucked in pretty deep. I just tore down my QT (due to lack of space) so I'm kinda stuck there too.
As a last ditch, try soaking the tank's next feeding in garlic juice, and feed that for the next few days. If the angel isn't eating it can't help him, but it might prevent others catching it, if it's ich. It's a folk remedy, but a lot of people use it.
