Ha, why don't you use the search and do some research....there are tons of posts on this and the info is very much still in debate. ~Matt

BB's work very well for SPS. DSB's work very well for softies
BB's are less complicated, DSB's offer more bio-diversity

If you search i can bet that you will get more info about this subject than you could ever want. I was DSB then I went BB and now back to DSB.. I like the look of sand in my tank and so do the fish and other animals you put in.. But hey, read for yourself and try it with a small tank to get an idea.. Good luck... AND SEARCH..

Go wit a small sandbed then. I've got less then 1'' in my 75 which will be a mixed reef like you are doing.

I have softies and LPS left over from my DSB period. They live and propogate but don't seem to thrive as when they were in a DSB environment. I think it's due to less nutrients.

Exactly, your going to open up a WHOLE can of worms if you ask people for their opinions.
Just do your research, read as much as possible on each one then make your decision.

Shallow Sand Bed :)
Advantages and disadvantages to each method that you need to research and make your own decision.
