no spray airlift

anyone know how to make an airlift eliminating the spray?
I tried some lifttubes in my 200 g tank with a 30 cfm airpump but had a lot of microbubbels and spray as a result.

you would need to build a bubble trap of some sort at the top. Let the water go one way (through baffles of some sort) and let the air vent out through a seperate baffle.
