Not from this seller and for a bit less, but I picked up one of these to use as a wavemaker/timer. I thought I saw a thread where someone modified the timing sequence to slow down the chase speed.
Description says: slow chase 1 min to 15 min (this is pretty accurate)
fast chase: 1 second to 1 min. WRONG, more like a 0.1 seconds to 1 second.

Idealy, I'm looking for some control between 1 second and 1 minute.

No luck with search this AM, does this mod I think I remember, ring any bells with anyone?

Thanks.

yes.. I remember it. I don't remember anything about it, other than something was changed out, requiring soldering, that changed the chase speed based on the new item you added.

I will try to get to radioshack or similar this week to pick up resistor for mod, meanwhile I have the unit running ph's in 2 cichlid tanks, the fish seem to enjoy the reversing flow,(opposite ends) I think they've picked up on the timer and seem to be ready & waiting for the ph's to kick on for a swim in the added current

I did this mod and it works well. I would recomend getting several different capacitors to see what speed you like the best.

I hit radio shack, picked up a few capacitors, I decided on the 100uf, works perfect
Fast chase now is approx 6 to 45 sec. (was approx 0.1 to 1 sec)
