RO question

Sorry for the basic question but are all replacement filters interchangible with most RO units? I bought a 3-stage Whirlpool RO unit at Loews and I want to make sure that I'll be able to replace the filters with the appropriate reef suitable filters. The current cartridges are 10" long when attached to the unit... Thanks for the help!

That's the right length. This link shows a standard cartridge:

The filters are very interchangeable between all the vendors I've seen, but I haven't used a Whirlpool unit.
