My pygmy angel is a maniac. I can not bring any type of fish or shrimp in without the angel harrassing the heck out it. Does anyone have this kind of fish? How do you deal with it. I wanted to buy the little six line wrasse, but the local LFS guy recommended that I not get because of the pygmy and wrasse wil go at it. Any thoughts

Thanks,

Trea

Hmm, sounds like a very territorial fish. I suspect the LFS guy is correct. I would probably find a new home for the fish. Maybe someone else will have another idea for you.

Thanks bertoni.

I might try to ask the LFS is they would take him back. This fish is abusive. I think he has stressed every fish that I have tried to bring in.

pygmy angel might have to go in last. take him out for a few hours. place in your new fish and see what happens. I have a pygmy angel and she just swims like mad but does not really pick on anyone. I also have a 6line with her

44 gallon Pentagon If this is the cherub's tank, IMHO, removing him would be best. If you want a potentially belligerent fish like a cherub to "get along with others" it's best to have him in a situation that is inducive(sp?) to his comfort. A cherub would prefer a long tank, preferably 4 feet at least, and some open sand areas with scattered live rock.

If you want to keep they pygmy, try rearranging the tank while the new fish is acclimating. Sometimes changing the territory gives the new fish a chance to stake out turf while the pygmy figures out the new surroundings.
