Anyone know where I can get a Gigags clam. Been looking for one for a long time.

HOw big is it? More pics? More whole tank pics? Tank specs etc etc etc?

i've had this clam since '97 or '98. it was 3" then. now ( i just measured) it is almost 13" long and 6" tall.
here are some tank specs:
100 gallon
2 400 watt 10k MH on regular PFO (8 hrs)
1 400 watt 20k MH on HQI PFO (4 hrs)
2 160 watt actinic VHO
k2r calcium reactor
1/4 chiller
ets skimmer

water parameter:
temp 79-81
dKH: 11
pH:7.9-8.3
calcium:?
ammonia, niritrite, nitrate: undetectable

i've been lookin for a gigas too!!

but, so so sad...my tank has crashed and just about all of my sps are gone...fish, softies and clams are oK, but sps are gone...so, so sad.

Bruddah, cheer me up and show me some more pics of your tank. very nice from what i see. how can i give up after seeing a tank like yours. real nice.

I knew south bay barf would come through. hey sam quit teasing w/your pics and rather show full tank shots. im sure we'll have our jaws dropping after seeing the pics.

these pics were taken about 3 months ago. i fragged a whole bunch of sps (including those caps) cuz they were just getting too darn big. but hey, dennis has my orange on in his tank. maybe you SF guys will come on down to south bay to check it out dennis's tank?

I would be interested in finding out also where I could get a Gigas. I also wonder what the cost would be for one.

If you find one, it should not cost too much. When I got mine, (12/26/98) he was less than 2 inches and cost 40 dollars. He is now about 16 inches.
