What product for Preventative Dips

There are a number of products on the market for preventative dips and I was wondering, if there is a favorite. A guy at an LFS recommended ParaGuard (1 hour), but said Formalin can be too harsh.

if you set up a QT then you wont need to needlessly dip. what are you trying to dip anyway, fish,corals?

I do QT, but if I can head the disease off before QT then I'm ahead of the game.

I don't want to cause undue stress, which is why I wondered if there was a prefered product for fish.
