180L tank (65*55*55CM)
120L sump (60*45*45)
1.5 meters hight
only soft corals, shrimps n 2-3 small fish

what would you choose as your water pumps?

I just bought bought a couple of Jebo pumps. I was replacing the Rios running my return and skimmer because the spare Rio seized up while mixing a batch of SW completely fouling the water and I didn't want to take a chance of the same thing happening in my tank. Since I was replacing both pumps at the same time I chose the Jebos because they gave me the most bang form my buck. They were also recommended by some others here at RC as being good for the money. The Jebos seem to heat my water a little more than my Rios although this could be because it is getting warm here in NC. Rio would not respond to my emails and I will never buy another TAAM product because of this. Mag pumps have a good reputation at a moderate price.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but we're talking about maybe a 55 gallon tank and a 40 gallon sump?

I would look into Mag Drive pumps. If my math/guessing is correct, you would need something like a Mag5 or Mag7.

That should be about a 45 gal tank and a 30 gal sump...

In that case, I'd look into either a Mag3 or a Mag5, depending on the flow I was looking for.

I've got a 700 gph pump for my return and 2 100 ghp powerheads in my tank. The small powerheads cycle on and off and help prevent dead spots. I understand you want to turn over 15 - 20 tanks of water per hour.
