sorry for the poor quality my camera is not that good but i am refering to the thing on the glass that looks like a bug.

Amphipod. Friendly little crustacean detritivore.

o ok ... i thiought they were smaller then this .... cuase i have them allllll over the place :)

They can range in size, but the ones I have are about a millimeter or two.

I usually get infestations when there are few or no fish in the tank to prey on them. Population drops fast (and they probably hide more) when they start being hunted.

Here are a few in my seahorse tank, before I moved the ponies in.

O.K. if that is an Amphipod, what are the ones that look like Big Clear fleas?

I have similar "bugs" in my tank that look more like the one in that first pic but they do not look like amphipods, I have tons and they are very small. The bodies are not as tall as amphipods.

mogurnda is right. Those are munnid isopods. The second picture in the thread, the "clear flea looking thing", is an amphipod.
