mIX ABOUT 1/2 VINEGAR AND 1/2 WATER IN A BOWL AND USE THAT TO WIPE IT OFF (SOFTENS IT UP NICELY) THEN RINSE WELL AFTERWARDS (DaNg cApS lOcK)

I would keep the glass top because some fish tend to be jumpers... I had a 10 gallon with a glass top for awhile and i just used water and my hand to get it off then dried it with some paper towels... you might have to do this once a week or so, but thats nothing compared to other maintenance that you should be doing on other things for your reef.
