monti cap

Hello,
I recently bought two monti cap corals (orange and Purple). They are about 3 inches and pretty flat. If I leave them alone, will they curve up and get the flower look on their own?

I was told to break them in pieces and mount them together to help the process.

yes take time, but they are fast growing in a stable tank. but a pic would help

Break them - bah. Give them a few months in random flow and they'll eventually look awesome. My philosophy is the more you dick around with corals the more chance they'll turn on you.

Ya just leave them alone and they will soon be the size of a dinner plate with three or four smaller plates stacked on it.
