Anyone have any experience with any of these T5 retros on ebay?

Looking to make decison on 8 light setup between Icecap, Tek Light and just saw this recently.

that is a catalina aquariums t5 setup. the reflectors on it are not good compared to the tek, icecap or aqualux reflectors. plus, it does not have waterproof endcaps, which I feel are mandatory over a saltwater tank.

check out aqualuxlighting.com for yourself. if you buy all the parts separately (known as the DIY retro) and get the CDR reflectors, you have the least expensive but very good t5ho retrofit. these aqualux sold CDR's are as good as the icecap reflectors, but are less expensive than the teks, and do not stain like the tek reflectors.

not that the teks are bad, but besides the staining issue that IC or the CDR's do not have, the tek will make 10% less par at the surface, and 20% less par 16" or so in the tank than the ic and the aqualux - which are tied for performance.
