i have setup my reef tank, acording to my LFS's display tank, included in this setup is an ozone generator instead of a uv sterilizer, i have recently purchesed one off a mate, still in the box (who has no idea what it does, lol). i asked my LFS the details about them, running time etc, but because i did not purchase it from him, he told me nothing( pr%*ck). anyway its a unistar ozone proccesor, (0.25 G/H) what ever that is. i would like to know the details of them and when i should use it, all the time??. and i will attach the ozone outlet to my venturi skimmer.

any replies greatly appreachiated, cheers.

You could put a timer on it, but it would be better to put a orp controller on it. That way you could run it continuously and the controller would shut it down if the orp got above some set point , say 400 orp.

Those two articles discuss ozone. I would suggest reading them. Ozone can be dangerous to your aquarium and to you, so be careful!
