My mantis has a huge egg sack that she is taking care of. Will the eggs waste away or can they do this asexually?

They cannot reproduce asexually. However, they can store sperm for several months. If the female has not molted, she could have a store of viable sperm.

I don't know if she has molted or not.. but she is taking care of the eggs as if she expects them to hatch. If the eggs are not fertilized, will they continue to take care of them as if they were?

Only for a few days, then she will eat them. If they are viable, they will take three weeks to hatch. At 10-12 days you should start to see eye spots developing in the eggs.
