Has anyone set up a video module for the ACIIIPRO yet? Im itching to get some photos (even if it was like one photo ever 30 minutes update) on my AC unit.
Anyone know how this could be done?
Curt? any plans in the future it put it into the firmware?

It would be very easy to do if you are using a computer connected to it. I'm not sure about making the built in web server do it. You would just do a windows netmeeting(if they still call it that) but there are other ones around. You set up a password to access it and have the cam pointed whatever you want. You can even check out the kids if you think they're up to something!

well the IIIPRO has a built in webserver,,, so I have a computer on the LAN, but its not the server for the unit.
What kind of a camera do you use anyway? like an ol webcam?

Yes. Just whatever will hook up, usb camera's are the easiest with higher resolution the better. You would just have it in a seperate window vs. in the same one as the ac3 and a second password to enter but it shouldn't be a big deal.

I dont have a webserver on my computer, I use only the built in webserver on the ACIIIPRO. I posted in this forum because this is not related to a PC at all. Id rather not involve my PC at all due to proximity.
with that said,,, does anyone know if there is a way to attach a camera using the BIN plugs on the ACIIIPRO?

Check this thread out if you end up going with a seperate program running. I didn't know about netmeeting since I hadn't played around with it since around 2000. There might also be a way to set up a password on one of the messenger's ie yahoo msn etc. The one mentioned in this thread sounds good but I didn't really dig into it much.
