I have a 20L AGA and a 10G AGA DIY Fuge. I need help deciding on the siphon overflow and pump.
I am looking to buy a CPR CS50 (300 GPH) or CS90 (600 GPH) overflow and a return pump for the fuge. I made a return line from the fuge to the tank out of 3/4" PVC that T's into 2 outflows that drop into the tank from over the tank rail. My setup is very similar to melevsreef's SCWD closed loop setup. Look at it here (http://www.melevsreef.com/closedloop.html) . Basically my setup looks the same minus the SCWD and the in tank water pickup.
My concern is that using the CS50 (300GPH) I will not have enough flow in the tank. Question is I am not sure which pump to use that will not 'outrun' the overflow siphon. That is why I am considering the larger CS90 overflow.
Please help with overflow and pump suggestions. Below is technical info regarding the return plumbing.
Technical Plumbing Detail
3/4" PVC
3.5 feet-vertical rise
2.5 feet-horizontal
9-90 degree fittings
2-45 degree fittings
1-3/4" Ball Valve
