Hi, I would like to know opinions on the seio super flow pump. I was thinking on getting the M1100 for my 95 gallon tank. I need to upgrade my flow and this pump looks like a nice option.

This is a good thread to start with.

I just got one of these and man they are great. It's like there's a storm in my tank with all the flow!

One thing I read about it though is that it's not really suitable for wavemaker devices, and I think that's manufacturer note, so keep that in mind.

They are great, but just remember.. They don't like wave timers..

If you want to use wave timers, you might look into the maxi-jet 900 mod. You can make a maxi-jet 900 about the same as a seio 1500 by doing this mod.

Here is the Thread for it, just in case (http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=790770)

IMO I'd avoid anything made be TAAM. They have awful customer service and would not respond to my emails.

I was making a search on premiumaquatics and saw the new vortech system, wow, they are expensive but it seems they will rock the market. They are truly tempting. Too bad they are just being released and no reviews to read on.

TUNZE !!!! RULES !!!! Seio shocks, read the reveiws. the ceramic shaft also breaks. spend a little more and get what you want. i wasted my time on lots of PH's in 16 yrs. trust me Tunze is the best and in the long run you get what you pay for. REEF-ON!!!

I use 2 seio 1100s on my 75 gallon, and they do the trick. One thing that bothers me is that if the power is cut to them, I usually have to bang them with my turkey baster until they turn back on. Hence.....why they suck for wavemakers.

I yesterday saw a 200 gallon tank with a 1100 and it look pretty nice. I think they do the trick for the price. Can´t make up my mind on what to buy. I would reallly like to know how good the vortech will be. Maybe one of those babies can move my entire tank. I hope they come out soon. They are also promising a wireless controller for up to ten powerheads.
