center brace ?

is is possiable to remove the center brace on a 46 bow and not have any prob.? i am asking due to i am wating to get a lighting fixture that has 1 MH and dual pc and with my center brace it will create a big shadow. any help would be very greatful.

I think the general consensus is that some sort of support is needed. Otherwise the glass may bow and break. Some people have been removing the Center Brace and replacing with Acrylic or Glass. I've got a 65 gallon tank i'm building and I've been thinking on doing this to it so I don't have shadows.
