I hear people talking about wet skim and dry skim are these options that you have on your skimmer? Or what is the difference between the two. Does it depend on your skimmer? I have a Bubble King 250 Internal that I am running on my 210 gallon tank. I just added the live rock to the tank that has been curing for some time now. So what is wet vs. dry skim, and what should I be doing I guess?

Wet skim normally pulls more trash out. But it can also cause salinity fluctuations.
Dry skim pulls less out, but has less dramatic effects on salinity.
I would run wet skim while the rock is curing, then reduce air flow, producing more dry foam.

Reduced air flow produces drier foam? It would seem like the opposite would be true.
