The temp in my 24 gallon aquapod is about 85 degrees F. I keep the top lid open to vent some of the air, The lgiht came with one fan, I added a second so both are blowing air out. The manufacturer told me that the stock powerhead creates alot of heat, I replaced that as well and the temp is still 85. I would like it to be about 76-78.

You can blow a fan across the surface of the water. Be aware that this will increase evaporation. Depending on what you have in your tank you can also decrease the amount of time the lights are on.

The fan technique as described above is perfect. Works really well and, like mentioned, does increase evaporation.

What type of light are you using? How long is it on?
What are you keeping for corals?
What is the room temp?

85 is high, anything over that for long term will be a big problem

Was it 85 after the lights are near the end of their cycle being on?
Was it the warmest part of the day?
Do you have a thermometer that records MAX temp & can be reset? A very good investment

Fans blowing across the water IME are better at cooling than fans that draw air from the tank area.

One other thing, I have the hottest room in my house(lol) it seems to retain heat very well. And the tank is set up in the hottest corner, right next to my monitor which gives off alot of heat if on too lnog and my PC which blows hot air right out of the back.

Where are you located?
If this is what is happening in the Spring, then your tank will be toast when summer gets here
Move the monitor & PC, re-arrange somehow
Is there a window in the room?
Better get an A/C
Last 2 years I've used a 12k A/C, this year I'll be using a 14.5k
