I seem to be getting overrun with some type of snail - they look like a slug wiith a small finger-nail shaped shell covering part fo their backs. My tank is about 8 months old, and htey started appearing a few monhs ago. They might be eating the amphipods, because they're population has dropped.
Any idea how to get rid of them, or should i leave them alone? They don't seem to be helping the tank much and they're not great to look at. And they're multiplying at a good clip....
Thanks for any assitance!

I can send you fifty or so - i already had too many and there appears to have been some kind of a "hatch", I can count about thirty tiny little ones...
I'm glad they're useful, but I've got way too many.
If anyone on Vancouver Island wants some, gimme a call!
