i would like to have my aqualight pro 48" supported from the center brace on my 120gallon 48" by 24" by 24" so i could slide the canopy on
the light seems heavy i am a little worried
what do you guys think?

come on someone tell me it will be alright
so i won't worry lol
the reason for the canopy is my kids are constantly throwing balls, crayons etc... and i don't want them flying in the tank

I would not have it on there for any extended period of time. Do consider raising or supsending it in some fashion.

HOw are you going to support it from the center brace?

I would think it would want to tip to one side or the other.

Have you thought of using the mounting brackets you can buy from Coralife? That is how I have my 36" light mounted and the canopy slips over top without an issue .... well I had to take out some boards in the top of the canopy ... but now the Light closes off that area and there is plenty of venting going on.

the center brace is about 12" I have the mounting legs
i have done it before with the mounting legs, but was nervous
i just don't want the center brace to crack or something in that manner from the weight.
i guess i will have to figure something out
the way my canopy is designed to sit on the outside rim of the tank were the lighting mounting legs are so it won't work with the legs on the outside rim

I just realized you were saying brackets not legs
i will look into the optional brackets
thanks
