Where does the green ground cord from the power cord get attached to if you are hooking up to a GCFI oulet?
Does a 250 Watt ballast need a heat sink?

The green wire from the power cord gets connected to the green wire from the ballast. Just snip off the eyelet and splice together.
Using a heat sink is optional but will increase the life of the ballast dramatically.

What about the blue and yellow wires to the bulb? Are those polar?
I just wired everything up with a coralvue bulb and no go :(

N/M, I either got lucky or they're not polar :)
(my guess is no since it isn't specified)


edit: This is so much better than power compacts!!!!

Glad you are up and running. There is no polarity on the lamp wires so as you found out, you can hook them up either way.
