For those of you who have added the Surface Skimmer upgrade, or those who have a Prizm Deluxe with the Surface Skimmer, I have a question.
How did you set the Surface Skimmer? Completely beneath the surface, slightly above, etc?
Mine just doesn't seem to be getting the surface very well.

Isnt there a set screw of some sort.

No, just the lever that allows you to move the "cup" up and down the intake tube.

When I had mine I keep the the water level in the middle of the grill like opening. Seemed to work fine. If you have a film on the suface that the skimmer will not pick up you need more suface movement.

I would second Red Serpent's opinion -- keep the water level near the middle of the grill. If you don't have automated water top off, it's going to be a pain and require constant adjustment, but as a former Prizm owner I know that's already part of the routine anyway. :)

Thanks folks, I appreciate the input. The instructions that came with the upgrade kit were far from helpful.
Right now I have it so that the water is just below the top of the surface skimmer but I'll raise the surface skimmer a bit so the water is in the middle of the slits. I don't have auto top-off but the tank sits right next to my couch and I have no problem manually topping it off.
