Coral life pendent, what bulbs can I use?

The 150watt coralife pendent, it's one of their owner design, not the new one. I hear that it doesn't come with a UV protective glass, and I can only use coralife brand bulbs with it, because it has the UV protective glass internally.

My pendent does have a glass shield, but I also hear from some people that this is just a splash guard?

Call Coralife ESU. They'll be able to tell you if the light has a UV shield or if it's built into the bulb.
