We have 2 clams, a Leather coral, brain coral, soft coral, 2 polyped corals, and a stony brain coral in our reef tank. I was wondering if you could place an Asfur Angelfish in such a tank. People's opinions are varied; some say it will be fine others that it is a very bad idea. So what do you guy's think???

[welcome]

The LiveAquaria.com profile says that they are known to nip on clams, soft corals, and fleshy stony corals. I suspect it's a gamble, and one I wouldn't take, personally. Scott Michael's books are useful for this type of question. Mine aren't handy right now, sigh.

no angel, you probably get a 50/50 chance with them. They will eat your clams and brian coral.

according to Scott's book

"Reef Aquarium Compatibility: Will nip at large-polyped stoney corals, some soft corals (e.g.,Xenia), and tridacnid clam mantles. Can usually be kept with small-polyped stoney corals and more-noxious soft corals."
