both my drivers died! They are about 1 years old. Have been in my fishroom. This morning neither pump was on. I checked the power - good. I ended up opening the drivers and both circuit boards are totally coroted! I was trying to find a replacement on line and I can't even find them!

Could some one point me to a source or is my $500+ less then a year ago just out the window?:mad2:

The 7240.26 hasn't been made in nearly 2 years, the 7240.27 replaced 7240.26 in June of 2004. 7240.27 will interchange with 7240.26, they cost about $95 a piece.

hmm, that't interesting since I bought this unit less than a year ago and the instide mfg date is 10.02.05.

Where can I order these, since none of the dealers seem to even know about it.

Any of our dealers can get them to you or you can order them from tunze.com . The drivers are like any electronic and cannot be exposed to excess moisture or water, if you wouldn't put a computer in the environment you shouldn't put the pump driver their either.

No one I called seems to have it. or have pricing info.
I went to tunze but that's in euros.

Where can I order it in the US and is this something you have in stock?

Select US on the tunze.com website, they definitely have it in US dollars. Marine Depot already called me for you and I told them the price and told them we have it and they are able to order it as well.

I have it here. I can ship it today. I would call them back or again, tunze.com, just be sure and order after selecting USA as the country that way I get the order instantly.

Roger,

Well they actually gave me a higher price then you did.
I tried going through the website and made sure I selected US.
It let's me put it in the cart but it shows nill dollars.

Can I just call you and order them?

$98.56 is the actual price, I was guestimating and not quoting an actual price. Premium Aquatics just called, they can order it for you and I can ship it today.

So I can't just order it from you?
Or can I have my LFS call you?

You have called two dealers, gotten price quotes, you can simply place the order with them. If your LFS is a Tunze dealer then they can order it too. Jay at Premium was ready to take your order, he can fax it in today.

I had a leak in my prop tank last week and the water leaked into my driver (7240.27). I called a couple of different dealers and they said that they don't carry them and it may take a week or up to 3-4 weeks to get. I went to the Tunze website and ordered the replacement from there on Tuesday afternoon. I was a little worried that it may take a while since it was in Germany. I got home from work today (Friday) and the replacement was here, mailed from Texas.

Moral of the story is: It didn't take long to be shipped and recieved from the Tunze website. I don't know how common it is that the drivers die or get wrecked but dealers may do better if they had them in stock. (I won't mention the dealer/dealers names b/c it's not the right place to incrimenate!)
