closed loop questions

I have a 40 gal reef with a 10 gal fuge and a 30 gal sump. I was thinking of adding a closed loop after the fact. With the tank being so small is there advantage to adding a closed loop. How hard is it to add this after the fact? Anyone here do something like this before? Any info is greatly appreciated.

Melev did an add on....used a SCWD but that's not a requirement.

not hard just need a hole in the back of the tank, could be drilled while half full, have the plumbing on top of the tank and your all set. Heck you could even skip the hole in the back if you need to.
