Im finding out the hard way lots of salt fish are prone to jump:. try eggcrate, I think I am, right now I have glass lid covering 95% of the top and 2 fish have still found there way to the floor:eek1: , so....... your not alone.

I'll have to chime in, I have a glass top as well that covers tank with only a few open slits in back by the filters... I still managed to lose 2 wrasses and 2 clowns, although I do have another two clowns right now that haven't jumped ship yet! *crosses fingers*:worried:

my clown jumped to its death after repeatedly being told NO! JK my 6-line Wrasse harrased it to jump, you know, peer pressure. i think it was tired of being chased constantly. first time ive heard of a clown doing it and ive had clowns for 16 yrs. (first fish) but not this one.

My little guy jumped out too...RIP Zippy..I think it was the female that caused it she would chase him around. Of course I had to learn the hard way. I went to walmart and in the craft section they have off white, mesh like plastic stuff that I cut down to fit the top of the tank. Wish I would have done it sooner, he was such a ham..Sorry for your loss.

I have had 2 jump out, I did not find them until I moved. They were behing the tank and I just assumed they were consumed by other things in there.
