Well the tank is now 18 Months old. and you can get the details on my web site along with a photo journal from about 12 months ago to now. There have been many things that have gone well and some that have not. With that said I have only lost one fish (Filter Intage Incident) and no corals. Many corals are starting to outgrow the tank and I will have to frag them down to keep them and give away the parent.
Here are some pics

A little info on the setup and Bio-Load
16 Gallon Glass Bow
Glass Canopy
Coralife 96 Watt Dual lighting
Hagen 70 Hang on Filter (Modified with Live Rock rubble and sand to replace the sponge)
Aqua C Remora Protein Skimmer (maxJet 1200)
2 Blue LED Night Lights
Coralife Day/Night Time
100 Watt Submersible Glass Heater
Modified bubble box for Skimmer (w/Additional Media Slot)
Total Volume with Skimmer and Filter 24 Gallons
I am still thinking of adding a UV system and potentially a hang on refugium but for now this is working great. I may use the Hagen 110 modified with a light as the refugium and mech filtration.
As far as Corals Go I have several
Candy Cane
Yellow Polyps
Multiple Zoas
Purple and Red Mushrooms
Colt Coral
Pulsing Xenia
Green Goniopara
Yellow Sarcophyton
Green Elephant Ear Mushrooms
Pink Tunicates
Inverts are some of my favorite tank inhabitants here is what I currently have
6 Various Types of Hermit Crabs
Green Mithrax
Several Stomatas
Banded Brittle Star
2 Peppermint Shrimp
Flame Scallop
Couple Dozen Snails
2 Large Hawaiian Feather Dusters
Dozens of Small Tube Worms and Dusters
25 lbs. of Live Rock
Various yellow and orange Sponges
In the Fish department after my bout with Ich I was really hesitant to spend any money there so I did what a lot of people do and I purchased 4 Damsels and to be honest with you I really like them. Besides that I have a Spotted Mandarin who has been trained to eat brine and mysis shrimp which I dose with Selcon.
As far as finishing the tank I am almost done. I want to add some Frog Spawn, some Star Polyps, a couple more colors of Zoas, and I really like the Sun Coral. I am also looking to add a few more inverts maybe a sand sifting cucumber, a small tube anenome, and I want to do some non ornamental clams or mussels.
As far as dosing goes here is my regiment.
Monthly:
Essential Elements (Kent Marine)
Weekly:
Coral Vitae
Iodine
Strontium
Magnesium
Molybdenum
Every other Day:
Calcium
Combo Vital
Feeding (This is not what I feed every-day but my menu over the course of a week as needed) I do target feed my Candy Cane, Goniopara, and Flame Scallop every day.
Frozen Marine Cuisine
Frozen Marine Multi-Pack
Frozen Brine Shrimp
Frozen Rotifers
Liquid ZooPlex
Liquid ChromoPlex
Marine Snow
Marine Flake
Marine Pellet
I dose all my foods with SelCon
Occasionally I will throw a few small cooked shrimp into the tank

U think. 4 Damsels and a Mandarin in 21 Gallons of water? Maybe you are right from a space perspective but they are not overloading the system from a Bio-Load Perspective.
Either way the Black Damsel who is the largest at about 2 Inches will be moving into my neighbors 110 Gallon after it cycles because he loves how agressive the fish is and how it eats (i Mean Chomps) food out of your hand ;). The others are all under 2 Inches and live happily with eachother.
