Hi..all..

I am vince in Korea..I ordered AC jr and DC8 and received a few days ago...

I connect the DC8 to Power(at wall) and checked the LED is shown green color.

but I found that when I connect DC8 and pinpoint adapter, It is not working

and AC jr controller was the same (not working)

I think I am missing something...

I have manual and read several times. but I do not know why they are not

working...and what is switch and Control address? there is 4 switch s1~s4.

I wanna connect my 2 T5 socket to DC8 and tell me the how to install them

What I wanna know is if it is working without Controller when connecting power at wall.

I checked DC8 LED itself is on when connecting power. but when I connect pinpoint adapter, AC jr and they are not working..

Of course when pinpoint adapter and AC jr are
connect main power at wall, they are working...

so That is why I may missing something....

and wanna know what is the cotrol address..

Thanks.

Thanks Curt...

I read this thread..
http://reefcentral.com/forums/showth...&highlight=DC8

That means DC8 is controlled by AC jr.. correct?
and means DC8 is not working without AC controller.... correct?

I think this is what I missing...

I asked about installing controller in other forum...

Hi all~

I bought the AC jr and DC8.

When I opened the box, I found that AC jr kit has AC adapter.

Can I Connect this adapter to DC8? or connect separately?

TIA

and someone answered

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The purpose of the DC8 is to work with the AC Jr. in setting controllers, timers, Moon cycles, etc. By connecting the controller itself to the DC8 you use up one slot which could be used for something else.

I'd suggest conecting the AC Jr. separately.

so I think it can be possible to connect AC adpter to DC8 directly.
but It is not working...correct?

there is a small cable that looks like a phone cable - that is what goes from the Aquacontroller Junior to the DC-8. The DC-8 has a plug on it that goes into the electrical outlet. The small power adapter is used to power the Junior and not the DC-8.

I also don't see how the AC adapter could be plugged into the DC8 unless you designate one of the outlets as Always on.

Thanks Matt...
but I am not good at English. so I can not understand fully...

If there is three part
A: DC8
B: AC jr
C: AC jr adapter for power
D: Main Power D_1,D_2 at wall

The Formal setup is
1. A connect D_1
2. B+C connect D_2
3. A connect B using phone cable...

Correct?

How about this?
1. A connect D_1
2. B connect C
3. C put in A plug
4. B connect A using phone cable

This is not working..correct?

The first is correct:

1. A connect D_1
2. B+C connect D_2
3. A connect B using phone cable...

Curt - oh I thought he was wanting to use one of the plugs on the DC-8 to power the adapter for the Junior.

the power adapter plug for the AC jr 'should' be plugged into the wall, not the DC8

The Jr should not plug into the DC8 you would be wasting an outlet.

this is the setup you want, nothing else is correct, hook it up like below and you will be good to go.

1. A connect D_1
2. B+C connect D_2
3. A connect B using phone cable...
