Hi Guys - so I broke down and ordered two ballast boxes. Unfortunately they don't come with any screws to secure the ballast to the box or the cover to the back plate.

I found some machine screws around the house so I was able to secure the ballast.

Can you tell me what size screw I need to secure the top to the plate. Are they the self tapping type?

Also, I'm curious as to why you don't don't ship the ballast boxes with the required hardware. I can sort of understand the ballast screws as they might not be used with an ICECAP ballast. However, I would think the screws needed to hold the top onto the plate would be considered a requirement and should ship with the unit. Thoughts?

Thanks,
Bill

Most of our Ballast Boxes go out pre-wired. Looks like we dropped the ball here. Please send an E-mail to service@icecapinc.com with shipping info and we'll mail them to you and also post the information here.

Sorry.

Anyway you could just tell me the size/type of screw? I'd rather just run out to the hardware store so I can get it buttoned up as soon as possible.

I'll also email as suggested to cover all bases.

Thanks again for the quick reply.

Yes a self tapping metal screw or a 1/8 rivet is what we recommend
