I currently have a 12 gal nano also and have had good luck with 2 fire gobys, they are the perfect size for nanos

So they wont fight with eeach other? I was about to post that!! I just ordered 6 and they are, were, together in a 15g, 24x12, and were tearing each other up. I'd just get one.

Percula Clowns and Pajama Cardinals should be fine.

that's weird. I often saw LFS stocking several of them together in a 10 gal tank (4 or 5 max) and they didn't seem to be fighting? I've never stocked more than one so I can't say for sure.

i've seen them in pairs before peacefully... strange. guess it depends on the personalities you get.

I kept two neon gobies together in a six gallon and they got along just fine...

This may be a dumb question but is a fire goby the same as a fire fish? If so I have a purple fire fish and a regular orange fire fish in my 20 gallon and they both just mind their own business. They get along just fine. They have been living together for a little over a year now. Maybe it is because I introduced them at the same time.

well do you guys think its worth risking it to put to neon gobys in a 12 gallon?

I don't mean to sound uncaring at all here but neon gobies here go for 4.99. I think it's pretty worth trying if you want a pair that badly. It's much more logical than say, trying a pair of expensive angels or tangs.

i have kept 4 in my 55 gal and they got along fine. a couple of my fish had ick so i got them to clean the ick of my fish. they were the 4.99 and they all got ick and died. but they go rid of the ick in my tank! i did get 2 of the tank breed ones for $20 each! they are doing great, but they dont really clean like the wild ones. they are really neat to watch.
