I am currently upgrading from a 20L to a 40 breeder and I plan on transfering the 20L into a sump/fuge for the new tank. I have been going back and forth on what what equipment I should use or get for the new setup. Keeping a lps/sofite tank by the way.
Option one: Keep that Bak Pak skimmer that I have running on the new setup and use the extra space for a larger fuge area in the sump.
Option two ($): Upgrading to an insump skimmer (probably CSS-125) and using it in sump with less room than for a fuge area.
I guess my real question is what setup is more effective and is the new skimmer worth the money upgrading now? I guess i could always do it in the future.
