I have a 30 gal. cube and a small, stripped down AMiracle sump. I have a 1260 Eheim in one section as my return and the outflow, heater, and a few pieces of lr in the other section. The water depth is 7" and the tank depth is 14". I read that the immersion depth for the nano skimmer is 7-8". Does this mean that the body of the skimmer must be submerged that much or does just the bottom where the pump is have to be submerged? Is there a way to set it up in a shallow sump?

Thanks - Laurie

It has to be submerged 7-8" and about 7.5"- 8" is really the ideal.

Shoot! That's what I was afraid of. I guess I'll have to have it in my tank then. Since it's so small it shouldn't be too obvious.
