The tank was just a temporary set-up (for the haddonis) and I wasn't sure if it would help or not, but I posted it anyway.

Scott,

That is so sweet. I would love to do that someday. Maybe that's my next goal after i do away with sps. Is there any fighting or have they established their heirarchy already?

Very nice.

here's a picture of mine..it's starting to really take over the tank. been having to move corals around as it expands and grows..

there we go. exactly the sort of thing i wanted to see...a large haddoni with a clarkii complex fish in it....

and to think i was battling over what to see dominating the sandbed: a neon green haddoni or a deep purple long tenticle...

looks like carpet is slightly ahead at this point.

would i be able to keep the haddonis in there?
sorry to take over the thread.

I'm believe that a 20gal tank is too small for a haddoni. Carlos has written an excellent Anemone FAQ that you can find at the top of this forum in a thread named "Clownfish & Anemones FAQ" that document will give you lots of info about tank-size, difficulty of keeping and lighting requirements.

Good luck.

What size tank do you need for a carpet anemone?

Hard one to answer. You could maybe try a small carpet in a 20g but have to realize it would only be short-term (it will outgrow it, sooner or later, they get to about 20" across, or more). And any fish in the tank though would likely be toast, so if you have fish, I'd say don't do it.

Maybe a 24" cube would make a nice haddoni setup.

I have mine in a 40g. and it takes up half the tank. I don't think I'd go any smaller than that.
