Filters- Marineland Tidepool II BIO-Wheel Filtration Module
Eheim Pro III canister filter
aga 75 or 90 gallon sump

LR and LS
Arag Alive Fiji Pink Sand
#0 Extra Fine .5-1 mm; available in 20 lb water packed bag

sand from 12 gallon nano

about 280 lbs fiji lr

Questions- is therte any available good protien skimmers rated for about 360 gallon aquariums under $350.00? What return pump should i use for my sump? Should i have 1 or 2 overflows. Should i combine my fuge with my sump? Does all my basic equipment look ok? I know that there are many questions but i have never dealt with this big of aquariums or ever had a sump.
Thanks,
FishMachine

forget the filters focus on the sump with a good fuge good skimmer and live rock will be all you need.... i would probably go to asmskimmer.com can get a asm g3 or a g4 plus for under 350 i beleive good skimmer for the money... 2 overflows for that size would be good..you can do it either way sump/fuge combo or seprate fuge sump it all depends on how much room you have and what is best for you. good luck any pictures?

yoboyjdizz- thanks, i dont have anything for the tank at all. Im going to my lfs tommorow for my 12 gallon and to talk about deals on the 210 aquarium lr and ls. Would 2 coralife superskimmer 220 be suffice? They have gotton good reviews and are not expensive.

I think i will either get the coralife 220 x2 or a g5 skimmer because total volume will be around 340 gallons.

also, how do you make a sump? Where can you buy a 90 gallon sump?
thanks

for the sump just use a 90 gallon tank. that would be the cheapest way. I would use a 75 gallon tank. its cheaper and has the same footprint an a 90 gallon might be allittle tall if its going under your stand.

also forget about the canister filter and tidepool. bio-wheel = nitrates. spend the money you save on a big protein skimmer. try an ASM G4x if you have enough height in your stand. if its to tall talk to andy at www.myreefcreations.com the mr-2r is only 26" tall and good for 400 gallons but its $750 with all the pumps. If thats to expensive, see if he can build you a custom skimmer that is short with and fat. his prices are very reasonable.

thanks, i think i will get the g5. Also, in the sump can you just use the bare tank. Do you need the dividers?
