And this almost looks like a ricordia except I've never really seen rics here. Price is insane though.

Hmmm, didn't consider that possibility. If it is, I know that's a tough one.

i'd say micromussa on the last one (or at least what all the cool kids are calling micromussa). prevoius one is some sort of anemone.

I just confirmed the top one as クダサンゴ (Tubipora musica) so it's a pipe organ.

Second one is ハタゴ which by a google search is bringing up anenomes so looks like you're right there.

Not sure what a micromussa is?

ahh did you want the exact translation?
There Katakana, this is a forigen word, ie.. your name writen so that japanese can read it.

The first one as best as I can translate is "kudasango"
The second one is "hanugo"

Ive learned from my years in japan, that the japanese can severly butcher the english language. Just like I butcher thier language. :D

Indeed can and indeed we do. :D

Found info on Micromussa:

http://www.reefpedia.com/index.php/Micromussa

But would still like to know for sure.

Hey, fdokinawa, good to see another RC member living in Japan. I don't think our paths have crossed before? I know of at least two other RC members that live on your sunny island. :)

Nexdog, Yea, finally hooked up with a couple of them. good guys, just bought a new stand from jeffb3t. Going through a full rebuild right now. I've been having problems getting a skimmer though, people dont like to ship APO. :(

Doug at Deltec will prolly send you one. An AP600 (http://www.deltecusa.us/proteinskimmers/ap600.php) would be super sweet on a 55g or 100g system. I have a 902 but I think I need more. I really wish I had made my tank room bigger as I'm a bit limited to what I can do expansion wise....

I'm in Miyakonojo, Miyazaki, Kyushu. :)

Second picture looks more like several small clumps of PomPom Xenia to me. JMO though.

I'm trying to get a MR-1, but Andy hasnt gotten back to me yet. I understand hes probably busy and the world definatly dosnt revolve around me. But from everything Ive heard he gets back to people pretty quickly. Oh well, I think my buddy is going to order and ship it to me.

lol... ok, never heard of that city.

looks like pipe organ, xenia, and micromussa amakusensis. micromussa are almost identical to acanthastrea lowdhowensis but a bit smaller in size. mini lords if you will lol. pretty hardy, fast growing and a cool coral. id suggest picking them up if the price is reasonable.

Good luck on that. :)

Miyakonojo is a small city (big town really) 30 miles west of Miyazaki city. Hey, if you ever find any good online fish and coral retailers here in Japan, please let me know. At the moment I'm using Natural and Splash which are both pure quality. But I'm always on the lookout. :)

Well, not cheap but I can afford it. Just my wife doesn't see it that way. :p
