goods and bads to iodine

is iodine good or bad for your tank i have a fix of fish and corals i frag my mushrooms every so often and i use a little iodine to help the healing is this ok and should i use it more often or not at all i also add calcium as needed

I do not think that iodine is a useful additive for most reef aquaria. I have not added any for years. This article has more:
