Cheap lighting for fuge!

Hi guys
I've heard you can use GE 'daylight' bulbs to light a fuge. Has anyone tried this with success? what other cheap alternatives are there for fuge lighting?

Any "daylight" compact fluorescent bulb from HD should work. The higher wattage the better.
