Well, here are the first shots of my future Zoa garden. This is my first real attempt at Zoas. The tank is a 38g AGA, using a Fluval 204 for mech/chem filtration, Coralife 9w UV Sterilizer (plumbed inline with return hose), Seaclone 100 (no jokes please!), and Odyssea 2x96w PC (Actinic 420 and 10000k). I plan on replacing that light with a TekLight 4x39w T5 in the next couple of weeks. I have about 60-70 lbs of LR in the tank, along with 125 lbs Southdown. The tank was previously a FOWLR, and I removed the crushed coral substrate and replaced it with the southdown about 6 weeks ago. I am currently dosing B-Ionic and feeding cyclopeeze twice a week along with alternating daily frozen krill and ON trigger formula. Enjoy, and I welcome the comments of you true Zoa experts!

Looks nice, I would spread those zoa's in the last pic on the first post out a little farther tho. That way when they grow they won't start touching and it will be easier for you to send free frags for people who post on your threads on RC:rolleyes: ;)

zoos look nice, but holy bubble algae!!! you should do something about that.

does the puffer bother any of the zoos? i would think they'd be a tasty snack for him.

Not bubble algae, surface algae on the sand, (macro pic), and the puffer leaves everything in the tank alone. I couldn't believe it either, I was going to have to trade him for some frags but it ended up being ok. Just can't put any shrimp in and have to flip snails and hermits over sometimes!

Nice I second the Blue ones, I am first on the list for a FRAG!!! Once you stop using tap water and use RO that green will go away. Looks good though... NICE!

Actually I'm not positive what they are. They are a nice indigo blue to the naked eye with a yellow fringe. I appreciate any ID anyone may have for those!

Looks great! Nice zoas, and nice setup. Will the puffer get to big for the tank? I absolutely love puffers, and cowfish, and all those odd looking things, but I think they'd be squished in my 12/18gs.

Nice collection!

Yeah he'll eventually outgrow it. I had another one I got rid of once he hit 6" or so....sounds like I need another FOWLR! Thanks for the compliments everybody! (keep em comin!)

Looks like bubble algae to me. What are your water parameters? You might want to get that algae in control before it takes over. Maybe get an emerald crab.
