I have 3" Crocea clam that was sitting upright. I decided to move him and the rock he is attached to to another plance in my tank. I moved him higher in the tank, but now he is pretty much laying on his side (slighly tilted up, maybe 20-30 degrees or so). Where he's at, he can fully extend his mantel and get full light. I like it because I now can see the full spectrum of his colors without having to look directly down to see them. I think the only issue is his position. If light is not an issue, will he do alright on his side?

If the mantle still recieves light it should be fine. If it is unhappy it will likely move.
