it's an awesome fish. doesn't touch any coral!. in fact, mine never hides! very active swimmer, always out at front.
Damn! i waited too long to get this beauty. i was afraid it hides alot and isn't reef safe. but wooo, it doesn't, love it!

I love mine too! But sometimes he picks at my clam.

How long have you had it? Mine took six months before it turned into a devil and starting nipping at every coral in my tank and really aggressive to every other fish in the tank.

Nice flame! These are wonderful fish, IME a healthy flame won't hide. Mine doesn't eat coral, but does take the occasional taste of the mucous coating. Doesn't seem to upset the corals at all, hopefully he doesn't develop more of a taste as he grows.

Here's my flame, with his buddies :)

give him some time, he will rule that tank. not that it is a bad thing, but definitely be careful what fish you decide to add next. It may not approve of them

stykthyn - if you meant mine, it's fully stocked so we won't be adding anything else. I doubt the flame will end up the boss, the flagfin is very much in charge; the others squabble, but absolutely no one messes with him :D

I added the fish in this order, over a few months:
- Southseas devil damsel
- Neon dottyback
- Flagfin angel
- Pixy hawkfish
- Flame angel
- Sixline wrasse
- Cherub angel
- Coral beauty angel
- Fourstripe damsel

Each time I added a fish I would drip them for about an hour, then shut off all but the actinics and introduce the fish low down in the tank, so they could hide in the rockwork if they felt the need. There was some chasing and squabbling with most new additions, but after 24h or less everyone would settle down. They all get along well now, they've even learned to share the nori :D
